Elections announced for the Imperial Diet and Chancellery; New parties formed
The Federal Electoral Commission, with consent of His Imperial and Royal Majesty, has announced new legislative and federal elections earlier today. Federal Electoral Commissioner Trey Miller said in a public statement that elections for the House of Representatives and electable half of the Council of State will be held on October 1st, while elections for the Chancellery and other federal positions will continued to be held on December 16th.
Almost immediately after the announcement, two new political parties were registered. The Conservative Party, led by Acting Speaker of the House Zach Peller, and the Liberal Party, led by Governor of Pretoria Hannah Garcia, are both contesting for control of the House and the electable half of the Council of State.
Current predictions in the House show that the election will be one of the closest ones in Austrovian History, while the electable half of the Council of State is predicted to be under Conservative control.
