Austrovian Observer: Governor of Etiwanda resignation triggers election

Governor Natalia Zapata of the Royal State of Etiwanda has officially resigned, saying that family problems have prevent her from acting as governor.

Since the Constitution prevents a designated successor for elected offices, a election has been announced, in which the people will choose the next governor. Since Etiwanda is known as the "Liberal Stronghold of Austrovia", it is expected that a candidate from the National Democratic Populist Party or the Citizen's Party will win. This has yet to bring down the group of conservatives in the state.

"I'm very excited for the election," said one conservative hopeful. "The NDPP and Citizen's Party underestimates us."

The election is scheduled to take place sometime before September, but a exact date has yet to be decided upon.
