The Austrovian Observer: Your Candidates for the 4th Federal Election

This will be the last time the name of the publisher will be in the article's title.

On September 20th, 4 candidates registered for the Federal Election. Since all of them are from different parties, primary elections for each party will not happen. So who are these 4 candidates, and which one will become our next Reich Chancellor.

Michael Lang was the National Democratic Populist Party's nominee. He joined Austrovia in late May 2018 and official became a citizen a day after the 3rd Federal Election. Lang has promised to increase activity in the nation by planned celebrations and events frequently and increase the power of the Reichstag. Lang was endorsed by Reich Chancellor Smith, who was chosen as his running mate. If elected, Lang would be the first Asian and Atheist Reich Chancellor.

Anthony Easton was again chosen as the Citizen's Party's nominee. Easton was one of the first members of Austrovia and its government, and is the 3rd Most Well Known Politician in Austrovia, behind the Emperor and Reich Chancellor. He was previously the leader of the communist and republican Communist and Socialist Party, but has died down on his anti monarchist stance. Easton has promised to increase the power of the Reich Chancellor to prevent inactivity, promotion of equality, and to limit the powers of the Council of State. If elected, Easton would be the 2nd Reich Chancellor to be one of the founding figures of the nation and the only Reich Chancellor to participate in all four elections.

Trey Miller was chosen as the National Party's nominee. Miller was the Vice Chancellor pick for the 3rd Federal Election and is the leader of the Cathenian Conservative Independence Union. Miller has promised to limit the Reichstag's membership, abolish all state governments, and to create the Bank of Austrovia and support the implantation of the new Austrovian Currency currently being designed by Count Tyler of South New Glasgow. If elected, Miller will become the oldest Reich Chancellor at 15 and will be the first Reich Chancellor originally from Cathenia.

A new party was also able join the race. The Phoenix Movement, a right wing union of former Freedom Party members, chose Christopher Easton, the younger brother of Anthony Easton, as its nominee. Easton has promised to reform the Reichstag, pull Austrovia out of the Union Against Micronational War and give more power the the Emperor. If elected, Easton would be the youngest Reich Chancellor at 12 and will be the first Reich Chancellor to openly endorse Ultra-Royalism.

This election will be the first time the Traditionalist Party has not fielded candidates. In a press statement, Chairwoman Speed said that the party "did not care the Reich Chancellorship," and "Only cared about gaining a majority in the Reichstag".

The Federal Election, and Reichstag Election, will be held on December 16th, 2018, the same day the First Federal Election was held, and the 15th Birthday of the Emperor.
