The Austrovian Observer: Royal Province Established in South Carolina!
A new province has been created in the State of South Carolina. Marcus Charles, who is a friend of Queen Delaney I of Etiwanda, has announced the creation of the Royal Province of Wexington, becoming the first territory outside of California. Originally a colony, Wexington was lifted to the status of Royal Province, which is just below statehood. Pinewood went through the same process, but it was lifted to statehood rather quickly. Marcus was proclaimed Governor-General of the new province and Andrew I will become monarch of Wexington until it becomes a state.
Like other states, Wexington claims a whole county rather than one house. Wexington officially claims the County of Jasper, but only controls one house. The new province also bumps the population up by 3, which means the total population of the Empire is now 59, finally beating out one of the predecessors of Austrovia, New Pugnasia, population.
