The Austrovian Observer: Coalition announced in joint statement;PEA revised and passed
In a Democratic and National Populist joint statement, Reginald Smith announced a unexpected administrative coalition between the two parties. This announcement was very surprising, causing shock around the country.
"I'm very surprised," said Etiwanda native Connor Pittman. "I would never expect this."
It was agreed by the two parties that Smith will become the new Reich Chancellor, while Drake would become Vice Chancellor. This new coalition has seen both positive and negative responses.
"This is terrible," says Emily Drake. "The two parties are mortal enemies. They'll never get anything done!"
The new Reich Chancellor and his government are to immediately take power. In other news, Reichstag Speaker Zach Peller has revised the controversial Political Engagement Act, which would have forced citizens to vote and join political parties. The new and improved act now does not force citizens to vote. It will only require citizens to join a political party, which is fine with most citizens.
