Hannah Garcia, Opposition Leader for the People's Coalition, proposed to the Reichstag a proposal to create a new state. This surprised many in the Reichstag, who at first thought the idea to be "silly". But after much debate, many seem to support this new idea.

"The current six states are over populated," said Garcia, convincing fellow members of the Reichstag, "So I propose the creation of a new state."

She went on to say that "special" people will be chosen to transfer to the new state, while new citizens until January 20th, will be automatically placed in it. This proposal has gotten criticism from some National Populists, saying that forcing people to transfer is against the Constitution.

The proposal was passed 11-9, seeing support from bot Democrats, Traditionalists, and even Freedom Party Members. After getting approval from the Emperor, the Speaker passed the act, officially allowing the creation of this new state. Since Leader Garcia was the creator of this new state, she was immediately appointed Governor.

This new state, which Garcia confirmed to be called Pretoria, will become the seventh state in the empire, being the second one to be created after the Empire's founding, following Pinewood. Until the February Reichstag Election, Pretoria will be represented by Hannah, due to it's small size, so no official changes to the Reichstag will happen until then.
