Congress's proposal for Catalan recognition rejected by Emperor

Congress's approval for the recognition of the region of Catalonia as an independent republic was blocked by the Emperor today, moments after it was approved. Congress is in shock that the Emperor rejected the proposal so quickly and with little to no thinking. Democratic Chairwoman Rosetta Gland commented on the issue, saying: "The Emperor should reconsider his decision and support the creation of a new Catalan Republic." His Majesty has refused to comment ans insisted the media to "move on."
